This stunning necklace features an amazing slice of watermelon tourmaline with hues of pink, peach, raspberry, and melon green.
This piece was inspired by the setting sun on the Sandias. The gorgeous tourmaline literally captures this since Sandia means watermelon in Spanish, but also in it's colors and the slight inclusion that looks like a mountain peak. The twisted neck wire represents the tram cables that take passengers up to the top of the crest each day. The bail (that thing that connects the pendant to the chain) is set to look like the tram cars too. The pendant freely moves on the wire to mimic the way a tram car will move up and down the cable on the mountains.
Necklace can be ordered in any length, I personally feel this piece looks and wears better on a choker length necklace, which is 14, 16,or 18 depending on preference (standard choker length is 16" but for teens or those with thin necks it may be 14"). Feel free to message if you have questions about length.
Pendant is 1/2" wide and 3/4" tall. Neck wire, chain and pendant are all solid sterling silver.
